Rough Country 4" Lift Kit Compatible

Pros:

  • High Quality Components
  • Range Of Lifts Available
  • Easy To Install Yourself

Cons:

  • Price
  • Requires Aftermarket Shocks

The Rough Country is my favorite lift kit available. What makes this kit so great? It comes with just about every component required. The front and rear long arm sytems come with adjustable shims and 8 high quality adjustable coilovers. The front coils are already installed so you can get on the road right away. The rear coils are included with the kit. I found the installation to be a breeze for even a novice mechanic. The included allan wrenchs make adjusting the coilovers a snap.

Great choice for the absolute novice. Had mine installed by a certified mechanic cause I hadn't quite learned the ins and outs of tools yet. The rear coil springs made my stock shocks bottoming out all the time go away. It took the bumps like a champ for 10 years. I replaced it only cause I plowed the front end during an off road traverse and bent up my frame. I would still be on that one if it weren't for that.

The kit requires additional lift to be installed. This is because the OE shock absorbers are not good enough to handle the higher weight from the added lift.
